Listed among the “150 Best Financial Advisors for Doctors” in 2002 by Medical Economics Magazine who compiled their list based on reader recommendations of advisors they found to be knowledgeable about financial planning for physicians. Advisors were evaluated based on their credentials, educational background, experience, percentage doctor clients and size of firm. They also reviewed a sample financial plan, regulatory filings and compensation model. Mr. Utley did not pay to be listed. Note: this rating is not indicative of our future performance.

I’m a transplanted Texan. You can hear it when I say “barbeque” but a long stint in the choral arts caused me to leave the rest of my twang in Texas. My wife says she married me because I’m driven, and I love her because she accepts me for who I am. We have two grown daughters and a Chihuahua mix named Jack that we adopted from the Greenhill Humane Society. When it’s snowing, I like to go snowshoeing up in the mountains. When it’s sunny, I love to hit the lake with my stand up paddleboard. The rest of the time, I’m either teaching my kids something or teaching myself something (reading).

I was born in Eugene and raised by a financial advisor (my dad) and a teacher (my mom) so naturally, I attended the University of Oregon and earned a degree in Economics. Through a mutual friend, I met my wife Brittney, who studied Psychology across the street at Bushnell University. We married on New Year's Eve of 2015 and now have two young boys that keep us on our toes.
I met Ben in 2015 when a friend told me about a job opening at Physician Family. Kyle landed the job before I could contact Ben but we remained in touch during the years and Ben became a mentor to me. I love helping people get out of debt and get on with life, so I jumped at the chance to move out of the corporate world and into making a difference for individuals. My whole life revolves around my family but when I have a little extra time, you'll find me working out, working on my house, working on my budget or listening to podcasts about those three things.

I’m a native Oregonian, born and raised in Cave Junction near the Oregon Caves National Park. You could say I’m a little bit country. I like country music, I know my way around hunting rifles, and I love to head out to the Cascades and get away from it all. My wife grew up in rural Idaho, so she’s a little bit country, too. We met on a blind date. We have three young daughters and a chihuahua who keeps them entertained. My last name is pronounced “Helsley” and my dad named me after Sergeant Kyle Reese who goes back in time to save the humans in the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie Terminator. Maybe that’s because I love to terminate any kind of investment-related stuff that’s not in our clients’ best interest.

I was born and raised in Somerset, a small town in Southeastern Kentucky. I met my husband, Konnor, in 2017 on a Habitat for Humanity trip to Exmore, VA that we took with our campus chapter. We relocated to Eugene so Konnor could finish his graduate studies at UO, but little did I know the beauty and joy that would come with the move - the beauty of the PNW and the joy of joining the Physician Family team.
I always love learning and exploring new places. In my spare time, you can find me cooking, playing volleyball (indoor or sand - depending on the time of year), hiking with my husband, or showing everyone pictures of my adorable nieces and nephews.

Personal & Family:
I was born in California and raised in Tennessee, where I spent most of my childhood. I moved back to California in 2010 and then to Oregon in 2023. I decided to move to Oregon after I took a coastal trip during the pandemic and fell in love with the PNW.
I enjoy spending time with my family and siblings. I am the oldest of 10, 7 boys and 3 girls. In my personal time, I am searching for a new trail or nature park. I love being outdoors, near the water, exploring and going on adventures with my “dog-ter” Nahla.
I am very honored to be a part of Physician Family’s wonderful team. Assisting with the financial success of doctors and their families is very rewarding. I am grateful I found such an inspiring workplace through my team and clients.

Personal & Family
I'm a native Oregonian, born and raised in Lane County. As a pup, my mama taught me to respect humanity and never take no for an answer. Being raised in a middle class pack, we had to make the best of every kibble, so thrift is one of my core values. In fact, I was named after Jack in honor of the late great Jack Bogle, father of the modern index fund and founder of the Vanguard Group of mutual funds.
The thing I love about working on the Physician Family team is seeing the smiling faces of everyone I meet! When I'm not working, you can find me chasing squirrels or dancing around on two legs on Sunday morning when Ben makes crepes for the family.
